I am looking for a man who was a child survivor of the Holocaust from Hungary. He had been in the concentration camp Jaworzno (also known as New Dachau), a coal mining sub-camp of Auschwitz. During the death march out of Auschwitz, he asked a fellow prisoner to hide him because he did not want to keep marching. The other prisoner, a Polish Jew (Auschwitz # 145183 ) who had also been in Jaworzno, hid the teenage boy in an outhouse and covered him with straw. Later the other prisoners were marched out and the Hungarian teenager remained behind.
You can reach me at Email address:
etfinder@juno.com.Please share this letter with anyone who might be able to help. If you can help me find this Hungarian survivor I would be eternally thankful. The Polish prisoner who hid the teen is my father. He would just like to know how that boy fared.
Thank you.
Most Sincerely,
E. T. F.
